The Atari 2600
Here we have the first ever video gaming console you could take home and play yourself. Before the Atari 2600 came out in 1977 people who wanted to play video games had to go to their local arcade where they would have to spend quarters on the games that they played.
Some things many people back then would not have known about the Atari follow as every game that was made back in the day was designed and created by one person. Hearing that then jumping 40 years in advance with today’s video games using hundreds of creators and designers on each main video game release that comes out.
Another thing that came with the Atari 2600 was also the first video game console to put a focus on multiplayer. From the moment you opened the console package due to the fact that a second controller came bundled with you’d assume they incorporated a multiplayer mode where 2 players could play against/with each other.
